Sapian Escapade

Sapian is the second Congressional District of the Province of Capiz. Sapian is 27 kilometers

from Roxas City the Provincial Capital. Sapian Bay which is situated in the Northern part of

the municipality is geographically joined with Capiz Bay. Sapian Bay is a source of livelihood

for may Sapianons like green mussels(tahong), oyster(talaba), lobster and different species

of fish am claims.

Many lands near sea water were developed into fishponds that produce

milkfish(bangus), prawns and crabs. Another source of livelihood is agriculture like rice, crops,

and coconuts. Sapian is politically subdivided into 10 barangays. The barangays are Agsilab,

Agtatacay Norte, Agtatacay Sur, Bilao, Damayan, Dapdapan, Lonoy, Majanlud, Maninang,

and Poblacion.

Out of this ten barangays of Sapian, there are beautiful tourist attractions like

Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto Meditation Hills situated in Barangay Maninang, Sapian, Capiz.

Nestled on top of a hill among giant boulders that seems landscaped by a divine force in the

middle of a wide area of well-manicured carabao grass surrounded by tall trees.

Another tourist spot in this municipality is Sapian Gugma Beach, located at Barrio Culasi,

Barangay Lonoy, Sapian Capiz. It is not a popular beach but many people go there because

of its natural beauty and it's free. It is not called modern beach like other beaches.

Lastly, the best resort of Sapian, Capiz to visit if you want to relax, swim, and enjoy the

Villa Oroceo-Guanco Resort, located in barangay Agsilab, Sapian, Capiz. It is the best place

for any occasions like wedding, baptism, reunion, birthdays, and vacation. It has swimming

pool if you want to relax and swim. The place is relaxing because of the beautiful landscape

and cottages.
